Wow! Awesome movie! It's not often that a movie with good quality, a great storyline, and decency comes out in the theaters. "Galaxy Quest" was all of these. It's really funny, for one, and it's great how it uses the old Star Trek series idea. It's Star Trek all over again, but without copying it. For example, each of the characters play an exaggerated, pure characteristic of an individual. When all the crew is put together, you see the picture of one individual with his many emotions. There is diversity in the cast, but it isn't exaggerated, just how Rodenberry wanted it. It has it's own specialness, though, so it's not exactly Star Trek. It just has all the same stuff that made Star Trek good. I suggest eight years old as a minimum mainly because my brothers saw it and were okay. However, there is some cussing, some violence, and sexual stuff. However, that last one is not as obvious as in many movies. The movie was rated PG.
