Okay, so some people might think this is a strange way to act out the Gospel of Matthew. I was very little the first time I saw it, so I'm used to it. However, I do know plenty of people who saw it as adults who love it. First written as a play, Godspell is set in New York City. Jesus dresses in a Superman shirt and wears face paint, while his Apostles dress however they want to. They act out parables, sing, and dance. It sounds awful, but it's really well done. Even using parts of it in a class might be good, or even the whole thing. It can even help you understand some of the Gospel better, or use the music for prayer.
